Artist Statement

I am a homebody at heart, looking to my household surroundings and routine for comfort. Representing these simple pleasures in painted form reminds me of their importance, and to appreciate the value of daily moments. Vivid colours are at the centre of my work, celebrating the joy that these everyday encounters bring. I carefully balance my own personal perspective with an aspect of anonymity so that the viewer can relate their own life and experiences with the work. It brings me comfort to know that my daily domestic life is relatable to others and celebrates the simplicity of this.
